The community is Pet friendly filled with nature parks Nd trails with lakes for fishing. North east Raleigh is a beautiful place to be. Warm and welcoming. They must be leashed of course. The sidewalks make walking dogs nice. Neuse River Trail access about. So pretty quick unless there is an accident. You see your neighbors as well as their dogs.

New Hope Road area, too much crime activity and not safe for adults let alone children. I love the amenities park and bike trails, swimming pool. I feel it's one of Raleigh's best kept secrets. You could get away with public transportation or Uber, but I would highly suggest getting a car eventually. It is not safe. I seen police cars every day in action. People keep their yards looking good and they maintain their yards. The houses are in good condition and well-kept.
The closest public transportation pick up in about 3 miles away. However, almost any retail place is in a short distance. Businesses seem further away. Either way, a car is needed to get anywhere. Not safe to walk the streets in the daylight, let alone at night. Would not recommend this neighborhood for families with children of any age. Capital blvd may be a bit busy, but tolerable. Lake wheeler, yates mill pond park, nc state farmers market, ncs, wake tech. Just a few minutes to downtown raleigh, cary and Apex. Shopping and entertainment are just minutes away. Kids play outside at the couple of neighborhood parks and sports fields.

Resident 3y ago. Lots of bus access. I can get to Cary for work in 20 minutes if I leave at 7". Five Points in the ideal location to live in the Raleigh area with its proximity to everything. Walkable to grocery stores, parks, bike trails, schools and libraries. We love living here.
